Charting Your Fertility Cycle
from: Maxx Family LifeWhen you're determined to conceive a child, learning to understand and anticipate all the different components of the fertility cycle is an important part of the process.
Here are examples of what's in involved to put together a workable fertility chart, and ultimately maximizing the chances of conceiving a child.
One of the basics for creating a chart for the fertility cycle is to understand the menstrual cycle, including the usual pattern for ovulation. This will serve as the basis for the chart, and also provide the framework for scheduling the tests and examinations that will aid in understanding the cycle better. Once this basic chart is in place, it's easy to start getting an idea of what to do and when to do it.
Basic to charting the cycle is learning when the best dates for sexual intercourse are. Women are usually more susceptible to conception in the days leading up to ovulation. When you know the best time in the fertility cycle for the days are, it's easier to plan to enjoy an intimate relationship or undergoing in vitro fertilization at one or more points during those days.
There are also a couple of other events that are scheduled, based on the detail found on the chart. One is taking the basal body temperature of the female. This activity can also help to pinpoint times during the days prior to ovulation where there's a good chance of pregnancy occurring. Along with the BBT, there's also the task of examining the cervical mucus. During the course of the period, the mucus will alternately thicken and thin out. This activity can also help to point to specific times when pregnancy is more likely to occur.
Charting the fertility cycle is an excellent way to help increase the chances of conceiving a child. By helping the couple to understand the process of the menstrual period, and checking on various factors during that cycle, it is possible to maximize the opportunities to successfully fulfill the desire for a child.
