Computerized Kids Toys

Computerized kids toys have no real age limit since technology advances make it possible to put hi-tech toys in the hands of nearly every child, regardless of his or her age. Mobiles hanging over your baby's crib are can even be considered computerized in some ways. However, when most parents think of computerized toys, they think of interactive toys or robotic toys. In this case, parents may wonder when is the best time to start providing these toys to their children.

Infants

Yes, there really are somecomputerized kids' toys made for infants, in fact, these toys serve to introduce an infant to the fascinating world of technology, while providing an education as well. The LittleTouch LeapPad, for example, is really meant for kids as young as 6 months old. This computerized toy brings books to life by making them interactive and exciting. Young readers will have fun touching the pictures for pleasant surprises, such as musical sounds. There are several stories available for LeapPad, which means you won't soon run out of ones for your kids to love.

Toddler

Toddlers are also able to have fun with computerized kids toys. The Leapster Learning System, for instance, aids children to learn while also getting more comfortable and familiar with computerized toys. The Leapster Learning System has action packed games that help to enhance learning. There are also several different levels and games available so preschool and elementary aged children can join in the fun. This toy is similar to a handheld videogame player, but it's more durable and made specifically with young kids in mind.

LeapPad also offers a more advanced version with the more advanced version allowing your child to interact with books. Included is a pen that works similar to a computer mouse. Fun and learning is taken to a new level since a child is able to touch a pen to certain words to hear them pronounced. A piano keyboard, human anatomy game, and a map are also available for the LeapPad.

Computerized toys don't stop here since you can even purchase a toy laptop for toddlers. The Barbie B-Bright Laptop, is a durable laptop made for kids as young as three and will make your toddler feel just like mommy or daddy when she's playing the different games that also teach valuable skills including numbers, letters and memory.

Early Elementary

For early elementary aged children, the Nitro Notebook is a great pretend laptop. It's has 80 different activities teaching skills -- social studies, math, language, and even Spanish. The Nitro Notebook tracks your child's progress and increases the level of difficulty as your child's skills improve.

LeapPad provides some wonderful products for this age level. Their series of fantastic books are geared specifically for first and second graders. The LeapPad will help your child become a stronger reader while having fun with his computerized toy.

Mid to Upper Elementary

When your child reaches mid to upper elementary age, there's endless choices in computerized toys. If your child gets exposure to different computerized toys from the time he/she's young, he/she will likely pick up on these toys quickly. In fact, you probably be amazed how much your child knows about these gadgets and gizmos.

In addition to popular handheld videogames and systems, such as the Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo, there are lots of other computerized toys for your kids. Leapster electronic books are available for mid to upper elementary aged children as well as younger children. The Pixter Multi-Media System is another computerized toy your childen love. This handheld system has more than 100 games, tools, and activities your child can even watch a video on the system or create his own videos and cartoons.
